This summer I worked and took 3 more English classes; I cannot wait to be done with taking SO many English classes. My first trimester went pretty well, so I consider myself lucky. I was tired and nauseous but rarely had to throw up, thankfully. I am now officially 15 weeks along and doing well. We got to see an ultrasound when the baby was only 6mm long, (pretty cool) and later hear the heart beat.
Michael worked all summer and studied for the GRE which he took and got the scores he needs to get into the schools he's applying to, which are BYU, Utah State, Colorado School of Mines, University of Colorado-Boulder. He's also throwing out a prayer to University of Washington.
We just got back from a great trip to Denver. We went to a Rockies vs. Dodgers game and were able to get really good seats for free from Mike's uncle, and saw Manny Ramirez up close, which was cool. I had never been to a MLB game before and I had a blast. We also went to Hudson Gardens for Gary's (Mike's dad) birthday which I highly recommend. Then on our last night there we went to the Cheesecake Factory with our friends Andy and Audra. The food was great, but the company was better. We posted a Picasa album that has pictures from all summer, but mostly from the Denver trips.
As a whole our summer was fun, but it left us exhausted, and not at all excited for school to start. I'm glad that we have a few bright spots on the horizon. As much as we dread this next semester, we have the comfort of knowing that this will be our last semester of undergraduate work, and more importantly, we find out our baby's gender in the first part of October! Of course, we will spread the news as soon as we find out.
Glad the first trimester is over! It's gotta be tough to be in school and pregnant and working :). Hang in there!
