I can't believe how fast Jordan seems to be growing up all of the sudden. I really can't call him a baby anymore, although I probably will until this next one comes along. He's learned so many new things over the last few months, one being lots of ways to get into trouble. Some days I feel like I'm constantly saying no and dragging him away from the garbage can, the parking lot, or off of various pieces of furniture. It's amazing the stuff he can get to despite my child proofing efforts. Luckily it's warm outside finally, and he can spend lots of time outside pushing cars and climbing all over the playground. Jordan does a lot of cute things too, thankfully, to redeem himself. :) He can a lot of the hand actions to the songs I sing to him and the books we read. He loves books and "reads" them to himself all the time. He loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses and can even say a few words now. He loves to talk, and even though most of it is jibberish, he still seems to laughs at jokes he tells himself and uses lots of vocal inflections that make me laugh. He also loves to dance, no matter what the form of music. He even started dancing to the the chimes of the BYU bell tower (sometimes the bell tower chimes music, not just the time) as we were walking by it the other day.
After over a year he's FINALLY taking decent naps and as of a couple months ago he sleeps through the night! Just in time for me to start the process all over again with the next baby.
Even with the ever growing number of tantrums, I'm still glad he's mine. :)
he's so so so cute! I hope he's feeling better. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post, Tiffany. Very well written. Jordan is SUCH a cute baby (almost kid). It was fun video chatting with you the other day and seeing him "read" to himself a little. I'd love to see both of you more.
